Neo-soul is a theological concept that fuses contemporary methods and reformation style theology with elements of my heritage and history. As its name (new-soul) implies, Neo-Soul theology is essentially old school teachings, with contemporary attitudes and sensibilities. It differs from contemporary evangelicalism in that it’s obviously more soulful, and it also tends to have deeper messages and meanings.

Religion Dispatches is a daily online magazine dedicated to the analysis of religious forces, highlighting a diversity of progressive voices.

It is RTUC's vision to do two things: "Teach the Word and reach the Urban community". This vision will be accomplished through the following avenues: 1. The Discipleship training center(DSTC). A place where believers can be trained and encouraged to fulfill the Great commission in their spheres of influence. 2. Media: This includes articles written on the RTUC blog as well as other print, audio and video resources. 3.Outreach: Conducting "Jesus in the hood"(JITH) crusades in as many urban cities as possible throughout the United States. 4.Pulpit supply, conferences and seminars.

After 20 years of dealing with church folks, I decided it was best for me to journal my thoughts instead of knocking somebody out, thus, The Church Lady Blogs was birthed. It is my goal to not only keep you abreast of what is going on in the African American/ Christian community but also to share a portion of my day to day life with you.
